Grand View Park

Best of the Bay
Best View
"The aptly named Grand View Park is a tiny but precipitous hill accessible by stairs from either 14th or 15th Avenue (near Aloha and Noriega). Depending on where you stand (and on weather conditions), you can take in a sweeping view of the coast; the Golden Gate, Mount Tam, and sometimes as far north as the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge; the downtown skyline backdropped by the Berkeley hills; and the west side of Twin Peaks. Additional perks include a variety of native plants, including two rare species, and a pair of redtail hawks that can frequently be seen hovering overhead. Just be warned: on foggy days you can barely see your nose."
