City Boy at Home

There is much to tell and relate - the last week of Spring Break included Easter and also a great trip to visit my Mom and Jerry in Coral Springs - we had so much fun and Tommy started swimming - really swimming, with not life jacket or anything - in the pool for the first time! It was very, very exciting. We also celebrated Mom and Jerry's 27th wedding anniversary - it doesn't seem possible, but then again, in some ways it does. :-)

I'm rushed as usual - it's late and I have to be up early tomorrow to work on a project for school - 6 more weeks until the semester is over - it's so exciting, I can hardly believe it.

One quick note with a humerous Thomas anecdote - my Mom was telling him that she had been married to Jerry for 27 years and Thomas's response - "Why?"

We got a laugh out of that one.

I thought I'd also share a pic - this is Thomas sitting in a chair at home on Easter...I like it because you can see the city in the background and, I don't know, it's just kind of a cool pic...I've got literally hundreds of pics to post, but this one is just kind of fun and cute...

Ice Skating with Thomas

I took Thomas ice skating for the first time last Saturday. It was wonderful - lots of fun! He seemed to like it pretty well - ice skating is always so hard at the beginning when you're slipping and sliding all over the place. I was impressed with how well he did, actually. I, on the other hand, was feeling the effects of all the weight I've gained, combined with a nasty fall that left me with a headache and dizziness for several days. Ugh. I'm not sixteen anymore, yikes! We'll have to wear helmets next time!!!!

Here are some photos:

Thomas having fun at the ice rink - and doing pretty well!

Thomas, looking not sure about this after putting his skates on for the first time.

Well, it's off to class for me...midterm exams - yuck!!!

Love,
Melissa
