Los Dos at 29 weeks

Well, here we are at 29 weeks. The top photo is our baby boy. He was not feeling very photogenic - he was turned so that he was facing away from the ultrasound, so no good photos of him today. However, we got a (rare) good shot of Lili today since for once the placenta wasn't right in the middle of her face. Emmett thinks she has my mouth, but I think her mouth is more like his. I guess we'll get a better idea when she's born. :-) Everything looked great with the babies today. I continue to be concerned that I'm having some preterm labor, but I guess we'll just take that one day at a time.

Thomas is on spring break this week, so we'll get a chance to have some mother/son fun. Today will be a mellow day - we're going to be focusing on his read-a-thon - he needs to accumulate 5 hours of reading this week. Tomorrow and Wednesday he'll go to Buena Vista spring camp, this will give him an opportunity to play with his friends and even get to go bowling, since they are having a field trip on Wednesday to the Yerba Buena bowling alley. On Thursday we're going to buy some stuff for the babies and maybe take a little side trip somewhere to a park or zoo or something. On Friday I have an appointment with my doctor and then we're heading out for a little family getaway to Mount Shasta for the weekend.

Saturday Thomas and I spent the day together since Emmett was having friends over to watch the NCAA tournament on television. The party was a success, and I was happy that Emmett had the time to spend with his friends. Thomas and I went down to the south bay and hung out, albeit very briefly, at the Happy Hollow Zoo and Park. Afterwards we went to Fresh Choice for dinner and then did a little shopping to get some shoes for me to wear for Easter and some books for Thomas to read this week.

On Sunday we had a wonderful Easter. Emmett's mom came up from Monterey and we all went to church at St. Brendan's, which we all really liked. Emmett and I are probably going to take the next steps to join this church and also to get Thomas and the babies baptized. For my part, I actually managed to get the homemade bread done, take my shower and have my hair done and make up on before church! Wowee! After church, we went to a little park and took a couple of family photos, then it was home for a traditional Easter brunch with kielbasa, hard boiled eggs, butter lamb, homemade bread, and strawberry spinach salad. Yummy! Everyone else went to the park after brunch but I stayed home and tried to rest a bit. Emmett's mom served a delicious dinner of lamb, potatoes, asparagus, rolls, gravy, and blackberry pie. Yum, yum and double yum! After she hit to road to get home before dark the three of us watched the Simpson's movie together and then it was time for bed.

Well, I'm going to wrap up this recap because I've been trying to write this whole thing with a 5 year old hanging on my back trying to read each word because he's bored and I think it's time for both of us to try for a nap. :-)

Love,
Melissa
