Emmetts Birthday and Halloween are Coming!

We are busily making plans - there are lots of fun things coming up, the highlights of which (I hope!) will be Emmett's birthday and then Halloween.

For Emmett's b-day (36! - yikes, we are getting so OLD! haha) we are going to take the day off and spend most of it together while Thomas goes to Olga's during the day and then we are hoping to find a babysitter for him on Friday evening. Poor kid, I feel bad packing him off to childcare for all that time, but sometimes adults need some time to themselves. :-) Emmett's planning to go for a solo bike ride in the morning (I am actually hoping to get out and take a little ride myself, although at a lot more leisurely pace). Then we will meet up and have a big "football" breakfast, as Emmett and his Mom call it. (She used to cook him big breakfasts on Football Sunday, at least that's the way I remember the story.) After breakfast we will, um, hang out at home for a while and take a nap. Then it will probably be time to start getting ready for our evening - dinner and a movie.
